A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME

I am a trained physician in general medicine and started my work as a family and community doctor in rural and urban areas in Romania. I later worked and lived in the United States of America for 12 years. While working in a private retina clinical practice, I gained a strong interest in working with patients in clinical trials and in clinical research. This led me to the public health post-graduate program of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, where I complemented my medical training with the science and practice of epidemiology, modelling and biostatistics as applied to clinical research.

Over the last 30 years of my professional life, I have acquired a broad expertise in clinical practice and in the field of biomedical and clinical research while working in the academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, and as an independent advisor. I have been privileged to be around inspiring colleagues, to be exposed head-on and hands-on to formidable experiences, and to learn along with and from professionals around the world in academic centres, business and financial enterprises, regulatory institutions, and creative agencies.

Through my work today I continue this journey. With every new project, my diligent, personable and committed professional support aims to progress the science of medical care in practice.
